Rock en Seine ’25
A fresh festival identity celebrating all things punk.

The ultimate finale in the French summer music calendar!
Rock en Seine is a vibrant and lively 5-day outdoor rock festival taking place on the National Estate of Saint-Cloud. Tasked with creating a compelling visual identity for the 2025 edition, this fresh conceptual identity captures the electric atmosphere and proposed theme of all things punk.
This identity aims to bring rock to young Gen Zs new to the scene and reconnect Gen X reliving ultimate moments.

The festival is about the lineup and the crowd—energetic, explosive, and bold.
Inspired by punk-rock visuals, the identity combines the festival’s energetic essence with strong typographic compositions. Using sharp shapes, irregular typographic forms, and dynamic text placements, the direction creates an explosive outburst that captures the bold sound, energetic grounds, and monumental musical moments, showcasing the festival as a moment that breaks barriers

Bringing back the zine.
Extending the bursting energy, the program presents attendees with festival information, including the schedule, map, and must-see shows, using a traditional zine format common in the underground scene. The program can be unfolded to reveal a collectable poster.

Festival Placemaking
With a focus on bold, eye-catching movement, the festival materials extend the visual language of the promotional material to heighten the atmosphere: the crowd, the stage, and the grounds become ample areas of explosive expression.

Takeaways
Working on this large-scale project taught me how to build an identity that is intriguing to attendees and adaptable to multiple applications. Creating a cohesive package was an insightful challenge and helped me learn how to consider various user preferences, flexibility in design solutions, and how to construct an environment that extends the nature of the festival.
